Call for Submissions – TSS Teaching Corner

Do you have teaching tips, strategies, activities, or tools you want to share?  Write a short column for the Teaching Corner!

Teaching corner offers faculty and graduate students the opportunity to share a short teaching strategy or tool with their peers through the quarterly newsletter of The Southern Sociologist (approximately 1,000 words).

Teaching Corner focuses on effective teaching strategies/methodologies, tools, or activities used in the classroom to engage students. In addition to teaching strategy/methods pieces, the column historically also contained some writings on teaching experiences and departmental teaching-related issues/concerns. This piece can be something you are exploring for later publication in Teaching Sociology or something far less research oriented but still important!

You can find the newsletter here: www.southernsociologicalsociety.org/TSS.html

If you want more information, email Sarah E. Cribbs, Teaching Corner editor, at SarahCribbs@rmc.edu
