The Spadoni College of Education and Social Sciences at Coastal Carolina University invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor of Sociology beginning in August 2024. A Ph.D. in Sociology is required at the time of the appointment.
The Assistant Professor must have teaching and research experience in social inequalities (e.g. Race, Class, Gender, LGBTQ+ identities) and a strong commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to engage a diverse community of learners, including first-generation college students, through a varied and innovative teaching style.

The Department offers the Bachelor of Arts degrees in Sociology and Criminal Justice. We also support minors in Criminal Justice, Criminology, Social Justice, and Sociology.
