Job Purpose
Teach introductory and upper-division courses in criminology and criminal justice in the Department of Sociology & Political Science.

Essential Functions
Teach introductory and upper-division courses in criminology and criminal justice, compatible with departmental needs. Research and scholarship. Service to the department and university. Continued improvement of teaching using research-based practices. Work collaboratively with the department, college, and university.
Minimum Qualifications
Earned Ph.D. from an accredited institution in Criminology, Criminal Justice, or Sociology by the start date (August 1, 2024). Qualified to teach introductory and upper-division courses in criminology and criminal justice. Supporter of active techniques in the classroom (collaborative learning, etc.). Demonstrated active research agenda. Evidence of potential for excellence in teaching and scholarly activities. Ability to teach online courses.
Salary
Commensurate with education and experience. Full-time, nine-month, tenure-track position to begin August 1, 2024.
