Hotel Information: The SSS conference hotel, the Richmond Marriott, is nestled in the historic downtown amongst many of the most historically interesting neighborhoods, which are highlighted in the current edition of The Southern Sociologist.

Please note that the conference is at the Richmond Marriott, which is different from the Courtyard Richmond Marriott and the Richmond Marriott West!
Reservation Info: The 2008 SSS meeting is only months away! Don't wait too long to make your hotel reservations. Beginning January 8th, you can reserve rooms at the conference rate by calling the Richmond Marriott at 1-800-228-9290 or (804) 643-3400. You can also reserve rooms online by clicking here. Make sure to include the seven letter group code "ssssssa" to receive the conference rate.
Hotel Conference Rates: Single or Double Rooms: $125 per night; Triple Rooms: $135 per night; Quadruple Rooms: $145 per night. Rates do not include applicable state and local taxes. Please note that to receive the conference rate, you MUST register prior to March 10, 2008!
Non-conference Activities: For those of you considering bringing children to Richmond (the conference often coincides with "Spring Break"), the city offers a number of great activities, just a few of which are highlighted below.
